Antoinette Miller, women’s basketball: The fifth-year all-everything point guard helped the Wesmen nearly upset the No. 2-seed Saskatchewan Huskies in a best-of-three quarterfinal last week. As it was, Miller turned in a quintessential performance to lift the Wesmen to a Game 2 win dropping 31 points, 19 in the second half alone, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals as Winnipeg forced a deciding Game 3 with a 93-85 win in Saskatoon.
For the series, Miller averaged 27 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and even had a four-block effort in Game 3 on Saturday. Miller had 24 points and six rebounds in Game 1 and added 26 points and six rebounds in Game 3.
