Adrian Dyck had double-digit kills but the Winnipeg Wesmen weren't able to rally for a win at Laval.

Dyck posted 16 kills and nine digs Saturday but the Wesmen men's volleyball team dropped its second straight non-conference match 3-1 (29-27, 25-18, 25-27, 25-20) to the Laval Rouge et Or in Quebec City.

The Wesmen hit .146 as a team for the match and weren't able to slow the attack of Vicente Villalobos. The Chilean national-team player had a match-high 23 kills and added nine digs, one night after putting down 20 in a three-set Laval win.

Setter Mikael Clegg had six kills on seven swings and 36 assists to lead the Wesmen in efficiency. Ethan Duncan added eight kills.

The Wesmen will return home for a week before hitting the road again for an east-coast swing. U of W will head to Halifax to face the Dalhousie Tigers for a pair of matches Oct. 8-9 and then move on to Fredericton to take on the UNB Varsity Reds for two matches Oct. 10-11.
