Donald Stewart was cool and efficient in a pair of blowout wins and has earned the MBLL Wesmen male athlete of the week honour.Â
Stewart, a fifth-year forward on the Wesmen men's basketball team, paced the Wesmen to two wins over the Lethbridge Pronghorns with a steady statline.Â
On Friday, as the Wesmen dispatched Lethbridge 77-47, Stewart had 12 points in 21 minutes while shooting 4-for-8 from the field. He also grabbed three rebounds, handed out three assists and notched a block and a steal.Â
In a 102-62 win on Saturday, Stewart had a game-high 17 points and game-high eight rebounds in 23 minutes while shooting 5-for-8 from the field and making 3 of 5 from three. He had another block and two steals.Â
For the weekend, Stewart shot 56.3 per cent from the field and 50 per cent from three while averaging 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds.Â
