Sydney Arnold scored a highlight reel goal Sunday and has been named the Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Wesmen athlete of the week.

Arnold, a fourth-year defender from Vincent Massey Collegiate, scored her second career goal in a 3-1 loss for the Wesmen women's soccer team at Lethbridge. 

On a corner kick from Jazmyn Castro, Arnold elevated above the Pronghorns defence to head home a goal that gave the Wesmen a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute. 

Arnold play all 90 minutes in both matches last weekend as the Wesmen opened their Canada West season.
