Coming off the bench to put up his best weekend of the season has earned Emmanuel Ugbah the MBLL Wesmen male athlete of the week honour. 

Ugbah, a third-year transfer guard on the Wesmen men's basketball team, posted a season-high in a win on Friday and averaged 14.5 points per game in reserve as the Wesmen split at MacEwan.

In Friday's win, Ugbah played 27 minutes and scored 17 points on 6-for-10 shooting while adding nine rebounds. He also had two steals and a block.

On Saturday, Ugbah followed up with 12 points on 5 of 11 shooting while grabbing five more rebounds and a season-high three steals. 

The Wesmen return home this weekend for a pair of games against the Mount Royal Cougars, Friday and Saturday.
