For posting multiple career-highs in a weekend split, Jazmin Birch has earned the MBLL Wesmen female athlete of the week.
Birch, a third-year forward on the Wesmen women's basketball team, helped the Wesmen battle back Saturday to get a win over the Lethbridge Pronghorns after dropping Friday's contetst.Â
On Saturday, Birch scored a career-high 26 points on 12 of 17 shooting while grabbing 11 rebounds and matched a career-high three steals in a convincing win.Â
On Friday, she grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds and scored 19 points, while also nabbing three steals.Â
She finished the weekend averaging 22.5 points, 12 rebounds and three steals while shooting 50 per cent from the field.
