Box Score The Winnipeg Wesmen extended their winning streak to three games with a solid 3-0 (25-22, 25-10, 25-21) victory over the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Friday night.

Winnipeg coming off a sweep against UBC-Okanagan last week improves their record to 3-4. The WolfPack with the loss fall to 1-6.
Fifth year middle Brendan Black led the Wesmen with nine kills and five blocks. Black finished with a .500 hitting percentage. David Bommersbach added eight kills while Brendan Thielmann and Taylor Howe each added seven. Fifth year setter Josh McKay had 23 assists and 10 digs.
Brad Gunter led the WolfPack with a match high 11 kills and a team high seven digs. Daniel Eikland Rod added nine kills. Setter Graham Stoliker finished with 25 assists.
The first set was anyone's for the taking. Both teams battled and it showed with the score being tied 16 times with nine lead changes. Winnipeg held a 23-20 lead late and scored the final two points, the last on a service ace by Josh Mckay to give the Wesmen a 25-22 set one win.
Winnipeg simply dominated the second set. The Wesmen raced out to a 16-6 lead at the technical timeout and never looked back. The Wesmen had zero attacking errors and finished with a .500 hitting percentage in a 25-10 set win to lead the match 2-0.
The third set was closer as the Wesmen clinged to a 16-14 lead at the technical timeout. The teams battled to 20-20 when Winnipeg closed out the match on a 5-1 run to win the third set 25-21.
The Wesmen and WolfPack will do battle on Saturday afternoon with a 3:30 p.m. scheduled start time.
