BRANDON, Man. — The Winnipeg Wesmen used an Ant and a pair of Killer B's to take down the Bobcats Friday night.

Antoinette Miller recorded her first career triple-double and Skylar Boulanger and Robyn Boulanger combined for 43 points to lift the Wesmen women's basketball team to its seventh straight win, an 86-61 victory over the BU Bobcats at the Wheat City's Healthy Living Centre.

After flirting with the statistical feat a few times in her two years at U of W, Miller accomplished it with 25 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

Skylar Boulanger had a career-high 27 points in just her fifth game of the season, and Robyn Boulanger added 16 points – going 5 of 7 from three – to add to the Wesmen charge.

Winnipeg opened with a 12-0 run and scored 27 of the game's first 29 points to fully take control before the game was even 10 minutes old. The Wesmen led 28-7 after one, and took a 49-23 lead into halftime.

Faith Hezekiah added eight points and 11 rebounds.

The Wesmen improved to 9-4 on the season and sent Brandon (2-9) to its fourth straight loss and fifth of the last six games.

The Wesmen also dominated the glass, winning the rebounding battle 58-33.

Keisha Cox, who missed the last three Bobcat games, led BU with 19 points and Mikaela Stanton added 10, but it came off 4-for-17 shooting.

Winnipeg shot 40 per cent (10-for-25) from three and finished 33 of 71 (46.5 per cent) from the field. Brandon was 6 of 27 from three (22.2 per cent) and 19-for-66 from the field (28.8 per cent).

The two teams meet again Saturday at 5 p.m. in Winnipeg at the Duckworth Centre.
