Keegan Teetaert had a career-high 12 kills and hit .400 for the night, but the Winnipeg Wesmen men's volleyball fell in five to the MacEwan Griffins on Friday.
Teetaert had his first double-digit kills performance and made just two errors on 25 swings, but the Griffins prevailed 3-2 (25-22, 17-25, 25-19, 17-25, 15-13) in a Canada West men's volleyball match in Edmonton. Teetaert also added a match-high six blocks.
Garrett Jones added nine kills on 17 swings and hit .412 as the Wesmen middles combined to hit .405 in the loss.
Daniel Thiessen had a team-high 18 kills and 12 digs for Winnipeg (3-6).
Kai Hesthemmer had a match-high 19 kills to pace MacEwan (3-8) and Jordan Peters added 16.
The Wesmen hit .289 for the match, while MacEwan attacked at a .243 rate.
Antanas Grigaitis played a career-high four sets and had a career-high seven kills for the Wesmen.
