SASKATOON — Keegan Teetaert matched a pair of career-highs Friday but the Winnipeg Wesmen men's volleyball team fell in four on the road.

Teetaert had 12 kills and 15.5 points — both tied for career-highs — as the Wesmen dropped a 3-1 (26-24, 26-24, 23-25, 25-17) Canada West conference decision to the Saskatchewan Huskies.

Teetaert had 24 swings and just two errors in hitting .417 for the night as the Wesmen dropped to 8-7. Saskatchewan improved to 8-7 and the teams are now tied for fifth ahead of Saturday's rematch.

The Wesmen also got 14 kills and nine digs from Daniel Thiessen, and 11 kills from Nigel Nielsen. Darian Picklyk had a match-high 11 digs.

Winnipeg hit .153 for the night.

The Wesmen rallied while down in the first set, winning six of nine points after being down 20-17 to tie the set at 23 before back-to-back kills closed things out for Saskatchewan.

In the second, the Wesmen held a 24-23 lead before back-to-back Huskies kills and a rare Teetaert attack error gave Saskatchewan the 2-0 lead.

In the third set, the Wesmen broke away from a 23-23 tie with a Thiessen kill and a Huskies error.

The Huskies were led by Daulton Sinoski's 18 kills and Cole Burkart's 17.

Saskatchewan hit .277 for the match including .429 in the fourth.
