It wasn't entirely smooth sailing, but the Winnipeg Wesmen eventually coasted to their 10th win in as many games. 

Keylyn Filewich led four Wesmen players in double figures with 18 points and a career-high seven steals and the UWinnipeg women's basketball team dropped the Manitoba Bisons 77-61 in a Canada West conference game Saturday at the Investors Group Athletic Centre. 

The Wesmen improved to 10-0 ahead of their first match-up with fellow undefeated Saskatchewan Jan. 28-29 at the Duckworth Centre. 

Manitoba, which played without Taylor Randall who was injured in Friday's game, dropped to 2-8.

Filewich also added six rebounds, four assists and two blocks to her line. Kyanna Giles added 16 points, seven assists and six rebounds while shooting 6-for-10 from the field. 

The Wesmen went 3-for-7 from three, the fewest three-pointers they've attempted in a Canada West game since going 2-for-7 against Alberta Nov. 3, 2017. Robyn Boulanger hit all three of the Wesmen's four three-pointers on four attempts. She finished with 14 points. Faith Hezekiah added 11 points and eight rebounds. 

It was also the lowest-scoring output of the season for Winnipeg, which leads the nation in points per game. 

Autumn Agar had a game-high 20 points to pace the Bisons and Lana Shypit added 10. 

The Bisons hung around early in the game, going into the second quarter tied at 19 and trailing just 37-31 at the half. 

The Bisons cut the lead to three in the third quarter but, with Winnipeg leading 55-51, a Boulanger three set the Wesmen off on a 15-2 run that pushed the lead to 17.
