The Winnipeg Wesmen signed off on Senior Day with a setback to Saskatchewan.

The Huskies scored two first-half goals and handed the Wesmen women's soccer team a 2-0 Canada West conference defeat in the final conference match of the season for both teams.

The Huskies (7-2-5) had already clinched their spot in the Canada West post-season entering the weekend but their victory assured them third place in the Prairie Division, three points clear of Alberta.Â
Madison Mayert opened the scoring with her third goal of the season in the 25th minute and Marie Kilcher added a goal from the penalty spot in the 36th.Â
Camille Forbes, finishing her first season for the Wesmen, had 12 saves to run her season total to 131 which is second all-time in Canada West and Wesmen history behind
Madison Priebe's 141 in 2023.Â
Nadia Kalyar made two saves for Saskatchewan.
The match was also a send-off for six Wesmen players who are graduating and moving on after this season.

Sydney Butler were all honoured in a pre-game ceremony for their time as Wesmen.Â
Castro, who scored Saturday against Regina, finished the season with three goals finishing her final three seasons as the team's leading scorer.Â
