Kamloops, BC- The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack came up with a huge fourth quarter and wound up downing the visiting University of Winnipeg Wesmen 91-86 in Canada West men's basketball action on Saturday (Jan 14). The game was played on the Warner Rentals Court at the Tournament Capital Centre.
SYNOPSIS
The WolfPack outscored Winnipeg 28-19 in the final period to erase a 67-63 third quarter deficit. Volodymyr Iegorov (5th year, forward, Donetsk, Ukraine) led the way for TRU with 26 points and 16 rebounds.
He was one of four TRU players in double figures.
Winnipeg's high scorers all had 18 points: Narcisse Ambanza (1st year, guard, Toronto,ON) , Jamar Fairley (5th year, guard, Winnipeg, MB) and Sean Tarver (3rd year, forward, Baltimore, MD).
Winnipeg had nine steals to TRU's five.
