CALGARY — A good chunk of the Winnipeg Wesmen women's volleyball team wasn't alive the last time the team swept the Calgary Dinos in Calgary.
A night after snapping a 13-year drought in Cowtown, the Wesmen went to work at ending another drought, dominating the host Dinos 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-16) for their third win in four Canada West conference matches in 2023.
On Friday, the Wesmen beat the Dinos in four for their first win in Calgary since 2010.
On Saturday? They secured the program's first sweep in the city since October 2002.
Emma Parker had 13 kills, 11 digs and hit .300, and
Ashleigh Laube added a double-double of her own with 10 kills and 10 digs as the Wesmen (11-5) stayed in a tie for second place with Mount Royal and Fraser Valley, who both won Saturday night.

Haille Bujan had seven kills on 13 swings (.462), and added an ace.
The Wesmen defence put up three solo blocks and 14 assisted, and held Calgary to a season-low .028.
Of the eight Dinos players to record an attack, six of them hit .000 or below.
Sheridan Coninx had eight kills to lead Calgary (9-7), and Sammi Boag had a team-high 12 digs as the Dinos lost their fourth straight.
