It was Winnipeg's seventh win in its past eight matches and helped the Wesmen stay in the top-five logjam at the head of the Canada West conference standings.
Planincic hit .500 on 26 swings with just one error and also had two aces and three block assists. Laube notched 10 kills with 18 digs and a match-high four aces.
Emma Parker added 11 kills.
The Wesmen hit .208 for the match, including .294 in a dominant second set.
Regina, meanwhile, was held to .090 on the night, and only hit better than .100 in the third set when the Cougars rallied from 23-20 down to score five straight points and stay in the match.
In the fourth, however, the Wesmen used a well-timed eight-point run on the serve of
Jaya Dzikowicz to break a 15-15 tie and put the visitors in complete control.
The Cougars (2-15) got 13 kills and 10 digs from Bailey Balaberda. Four different Regina players notched double-digit digs, with McKenzie Keibel recording 16.
