The Wesmen women's volleyball team lost its fifth straight Canada West conference match Friday, dropping a 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-18) decision to the No. 6-ranked Alberta Pandas Friday night.Â

Friday's loss marked the start of the third straight double-header where the Wesmen played a top-10 team in U Sports.Â

The Wesmen hit .155 for the night, but were held to .025 in the first set and .083 in the third, where they combined for 15 attacking errors.Â

Selva Planincic had a team-high 10 kills and match-high 13 digs, while
Christine Kolbuck hit .364 and had five kills and fellow middle
Grace Vallis knocked down seven kills hitting .313.

Megan Kendziora, a freshman from Edmonton, had six kills and hit .267 in her first match in her home town.Â

Allie Moore led the Pandas (6-1) with 12 kills on 14 swings with no errors, and Lauryn Tremblay added eight kills and eight digs. Kalysta Knappett had a team-high 10 digs.Â

The two teams meet again Saturday at 6 p.m. on Canada West TV.Â
