WSOC | Priebe notches career-high in Wesmen loss

The Winnipeg Wesmen will return home still seeking their first points of the Canada West season.

The Calgary Dinos scored early in both halves and pulled out a 3-0 win over the Wesmen in conference women's soccer action on Sunday.

Isabella DiPalma notched a goal in the fifth minute, and Rachel Barlow scored from the penalty spot in the 47th as the Dinos finished the opening weekend with two wins in two matches.

The Dinos added a third goal in the 76th minute when Ella Djuranic's shot got redirected past Madison Priebe, who was moving one way and couldn't change course in time.

Priebe finished with a career-high 15 saves.

The Wesmen played without second-year forward Brianna Machado, who took two yellows Saturday against Lethbridge and was unable to dress.

The Wesmen will return and host their home-opening matches Sept. 2 against MacEwan (U of M Turf Field) and Sept. 3 against Alberta (Ralph Cantafio).
