Biography
Thygesen won a silver medal at the Alberta Provincial Championships last season and won a gold medal at the National Championships in 2014 as a U16 player. She currently plays for the BRVC (Battle River Volleyball Club) Vikings team in Camrose, Alberta in the U18 division. An accomplished beach volleyball player, she placed fourth at the 2014 Alberta Volleyball Provincials and was named a Provincial All-Star. She has been involved in the sport for seven years and has been recognized as a leader and a captain for many years.
A well rounded athlete, she has participated in several other sports such as hockey, dance, basketball, baseball, track and swimming.
