Perhaps there can be a limit on how many Attiehs a team can play at one time. 

Gabrielle Attieh had 22 kills and sister Lauren had 14 plus 10 digs as the Fraser Valley Cascades made their first ever appearance at the Duckworth Centre with a 3-1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-18) Canada West conference women's volleyball victory over the Winnipeg Wesmen Friday night. 

Gabrielle Attieh, who spent four seasons with UBC before embarking on a pro career in France, hit .375 and added eight digs, while Lauren Attieh had 10 digs.

The loss was Winnipeg's second straight after starting the season 4-1. 

Selva Planincic and Haille Bujan had six kills apiece for the Wesmen, who hit a season-low .035. Taylor Cangemi had a team-high 10 digs for the Wesmen, who collected 50 on the night to UFV's 49.

The Cascades hit .242 for the match with 19 errors on 132 swings. 

The Wesmen were able to muster a rally for a in the first set. At 20-20, they gave up three of the next four points, but pulled the victory out with a four-point run with Bujan on the service line. 

They nearly pulled off something similar in Set 3 when a five-point run wiped out a 19-15 deficit and gave the Wesmen a temporary lead. The Cascades, however, eventually tied the set at 21 and then scored four of the next five to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
