After recording his first career double-double, Donald Stewart has been named the Birchwood Auto Group Wesmen male athlete of the week.
 
Despite two losses in Victoria, Stewart, a second-year forward with the Wesmen men’s basketball team, had a solid weekend.
 
On Saturday night, he had team-highs with 19 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 6-for-11 from the field and adding a block and an assist. 
 
A night earlier, who put up 10 points, four rebounds, two steals and a block and was 3 of 6 from the field.
 
For the weekend, Stewart shot 44 per cent from three and 53 per cent from the field, while averaging 14.9 points and seven rebounds per game.
