A superb Senior Night sendoff has earned Emmanuel Thomas the MBLL Wesmen male athlete of the week award.
Thomas, a fifth-year forward on the men's basketball team, had his best weekend of the season as the Wesmen won a split with the Brandon Bobcats.
On Friday night, in a 77-74 loss, Thomas had 12 points in 10 minutes off the bench while grabbing four rebounds.Â
In a 95-56 victory on Saturday, Thomas grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds and scored 13 points. He also 3-for-6 from three and shot 5-for-10 from the field.Â
For the weekend, Thomas averaged 12.5 points, nine rebounds and shot 56.3 per cent from the field, including 50 per cent from three.Â
