For the second time this season, Mikhail Mikhailov has been named the Wesmen Birchwood Auto Group male athlete of the week.

The second-year forward led the Wesmen men's basketball to a weekend road sweep of the UNBC Timberwolves by averaging 21.5 points and 10.5 rebounds on 57.1 per cent shooting as the Wesmen improved to 11-3 for the best start in program history.

On Friday, Mikhailov had his fifth double-double in his past seven contests with 18 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 9-for-15 from the floor in a 78-68 win. The next night, he went out and scored a career-high 25 points with nine rebounds on 11-for-15 shooting in a dominant 92-72 victory. 

Mikhailov is now averaging 13.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game in his first full season with the Wesmen.
