Notching a career-high has earned Raia Guinto the Birchwood Auto Group Wesmen female athlete of the week.

Guinto, a second-year guard from Sisler High School, averaged 17.5 points per game as the Wesmen women's basketball team split its two games at the CJOB Shootout at the Duckworth Centre. 

Guinto scored a career-high 22 points on 8-for-15 shooting and added three steals in Winnipeg's 63-50 loss to the Lakehead Thunderwolves Saturday night. 

A night earlier, Guinto scored 13 points, which was one off her previous career-high, in an 82-63 win over the Brandon Bobcats. 

Guinto shot 37.5 per cent from three in the two games.
