Setting a new conference record has earned Madison Priebe the Birchwood Auto Group Wesmen female athlete of the week.
Priebe, a second-year keeper on the women's soccer team, made a career-high 19 saves on Saturday and, in the process, became the Canada West record-holder for saves in a single season.Â
Priebe, who sat out Sunday's match against Regina, soared past the previous record of 128 saves, a mark that was held by UNBC's Jordan Hall since 2013. She finished the 2023 season with 141 saves in 12 matches played.Â
The J.H. Bruns graduate also finished the season with the top saves total in the country.Â
