A highly-efficient weekend has earned Liam Kristjanson the Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Wesmen male athlete of the week. 

Kristjanson, a fourth-year outside from Oak River, Man., tallied 26 kills over two matches and made just six errors last weekend at Alberta.

In a three-set loss on Friday, Kristjanson had a team-high 10 kills and hit .304 on 23 swings while adding two block assists and an ace.

In an epic five-setter on Saturday, Kristjanson was even more effective, knocking down 16 kills while hitting .520 on 25 swings while tallying 16.5 points for the Wesmen cause.

For the weekend, Kristjanson led all Wesmen attackers with a .417 efficiency.

The Wesmen host the Brandon Bobcats for a pair of matches this weekend at the Duckworth Centre. Tickets are available online now.
