A pair of career-highs and a big performance in a big win has earned Jaya Dzikowicz the MBLL Wesmen female athlete of the week.
 
Dzikowicz, a third-year left side on the Wesmen women’s volleyball team, posted career-highs of 21 kills and 12 digs Friday in a tough five-set loss to the Thompson Rivers Wolfpack.
 
The following night, however, Dzikowicz was solid again, scoring 13 kills with seven digs and two aces as the Wesmen rebounded for a four-set win. 
 
For the weekend, Dzikowicz hit .288 and established a career-high for kills in a two-match series. 
 
The Wesmen are on the road at Fraser Valley this weekend with matches that can be see on Canada West TV.
