After once again eclipsing the 20-dig mark, Taylor Cangemi has been named the MBLL Wesmen female athlete of the week. 

Cangemi, a third-year libero on the Wesmen women's volleyball team, posted a season-high 21 digs on Friday night as the Wesmen dropped a 3-1 decision to the MacEwan Griffins. 

It was the fourth time in her career that Cangemi recorded at least 20 digs and was just four off her career-high of 25 set in the season finale last year and, previously, in a win over Manitoba in her freshman year in 2021-22. 

The following night, Cangemi once again achieved double-digits with a match-high 16 digs, which was her 44th career match recording at least 10 digs. 

Cangemi has now recorded double-digit digs in her last seven full matches, and ranks ninth in the country with 186. 

The Wesmen are on the road for a pair of matches Thursday and Friday at Fraser Valley which can be seen live on Canada West TV.
