Jaxon Rose helped the Winnipeg Wesmen continue one of their hottest starts in years and has earned the Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Wesmen Athlete of the Week honours.

Rose, a fourth-year right side on the Wesmen men's volleyball team, played in four of the team's five non-conference contests at the Brandon University tournament as the Wesmen went 5-0 against Canada West competition. 

Rose averaged 15.3 kills over the course of three wins over Brandon, Queen's and Manitoba when he played in the full rotation. In two sets of a win over Saskatchewan, he had four kills on six swings as the Wesmen improved to 8-0 in the exhibition season. 

Rose averaged 3.33 kills per set and added five aces and 17 digs. In the four-set win over Queen's, he had eight digs with a career-high 18 kills.
