A pair of double-digit efforts has earned Taylor Cangemi the MBLL Wesmen Athlete of the Week honour.

Cangemi, a fourth-year libero on the UWinnipeg women's volleyball team, helped the Wesmen bounce back to earn a split with the Regina Cougars with her top defensive weekend of the season.

The Calgary native had her first weekend of back-to-back nights with double-digit digs and was the top libero in both matches. On Friday, in a five-set loss, Cangemi had a match-high 17 and she followed that with 15 more in a three-set victory on Saturday. That mark is tied for second highest in a three-set match this season in the Canada West, a total she also posted earlier this season against UBC. 

Cangemi has now posted double-digit digs in three of her past four matches and has 79 for the season, which ranks second in Canada West.
