Setting career-highs on back-to-back nights has earned Emily Lavallee the MBLL Wesmen female athlete of the week honour.

Lavallee, a second-year middle blocker on the Wesmen women's volleyball team, averaged 12 kills per match on the weekend as the Wesmen earned a split with the Saskatchewan Huskies at the Duckworth Centre.

Lavallee's 11 kills in a five-set loss on Friday set her career-high, but she reset that mark the following night as she knocked down 13 to help the Wesmen to a thrilling five-set win. 

The Major Pratt School graduate added a solo block and five assists in the Saturday win, and had five block assists in Friday's match. She also attacked at .355 in the victory with just two errors on a career-high 31 swings.
