After leading his team to a pair of sweeps on the weekend, Jaxon Rose has been named the MBLL Wesmen male athlete of the week. 

Rose saw the bulk of swings for the Wesmen on their opening weekend and turned in an efficient back-to-back, attacking at a .346 rate on 52 swings and leading UW to two sweeps on the road over Fraser Valley.

On Friday, Rose had 10 kills and the following night added 12 more while hitting .400 on 25 swings. 

Rose added three aces and averaged four digs while leading the team in kills and points over two matches.

The Wesmen host their home-openers this weekend, welcoming the Trinity Western Spartans Friday and Saturday at the Duckworth Centre.
