Making back-to-back starts for the first time in his career, Liam Allen has been awarded the MBLL Wesmen male athlete of the week award.
Allen, a middle blocker in his second season with the Wesmen men's volleyball team, was an effiicent attacker in leading the Wesmen to two straight sweeps of the MacEwan Griffins at the Duckworth Centre.Â
On Friday, Allen recorded nine kills on 10 swings with just one error (.800) while matching a team-high with three aces and a block assist. Both his kills and aces totals were career-highs.
The following night, Allen had five kills on eight swings (.375), and added another ace along with four block assists.Â
