In taking on a brand-new role and helping the Wesmen to a pair of wins on the weekend, Matt Klysh is the Birchwood Auto Group male athlete of the week.
Klysh, a fifth-year student-athlete who spent his entire Wesmen career as a setter, converted to right side on the weekend and had a standout performance in his debut there Friday. Klysh had seven kills on 11 swings with just two errors (.455) and added three aces, two block assists and three digs, counting for 11 points on the match as the Wesmen beat UBCO in four sets.
On Saturday, Klysh managed three kills on eight swings, added another ace and two block assists.
