For setting a Canada West season-high, Taylor Cangemi has earned the MBLL Wesmen female athlete of the week honour.
Cangemi, a fifth-year libero on the Wesmen women's volleyball team, played a key role in the Wesmen earning a split of their weekend with the MacEwan Griffins.
On Friday night, in a reverse-sweep, five-set win, Cangemi set the Canada West season-high for digs in a match with 23, a total that is just two off her career-high.
The next night, Cangemi compiled a team-high 14 digs in a three-set loss, a total that is fifth highest this season in a three-set Canada West match.Â
