The game started closer then expected, as the Wesmen fought hard for their first win of the season, but the set was ultimately decided after a powerful spike by Kate Pexman which would start a six point run for the Dinos, the momentum from the run as well as a one of Jaylynn Moffatt's six kills would help close out the first set 25-19

Pexman continued her dominate performance by setting the tempo for the second set with a powerful kill of of the first rally. This would initiate an eight to two run by the Dinos'.  The Wesmen weren't ready to give up yet as starting left side Alex Rose rallied the team and brought it to a tie with her ninth kill of the afternoon. The set was a battle with neither team able to gain total control, until first year right side Hannah Tanasichuk stepped on the floor and took over, putting up five kills in the set. The Dinos' would take the set 25-18

In the third set, Winnipeg started strong taking an early 5-2 lead. Unfortunately for the Wesmen fourth year outside hitter Laura McManes continued her solid year and put up back to back kills helping the Dinos' take an 8-6 lead. The game stayed close with neither team able to gain more then a two-point lead over the other. Until a highlight reel worthy diving block by Pexman resulted in a point for the Dinos', they never looked back after the play putting up nine straight points, the final kill coming from Tanasichuk to give the Dinos the third set at 25-15.
