Box Score The Trinity Western Spartans continued to have the Winnipeg Wesmen number Friday night in Langley, B.C.
The Spartans got nine kills and 10 digs from Linda Damerau and posted a 3-0 (25-19, 25-8, 25-16) win over the Wesmen in women's volleyball action at the Langley Events Centre.
The Wesmen have not beaten the Spartans since 2004 and they struggled against the No. 10-ranked team in the nation, hitting .056 for the match.
Kalena Schulz had a team-high nine kills and eight digs for Winnipeg (1-12), which also got five kills and eight digs from Emma Parker.
The Wesmen held a 10-2 lead in the third set, but watched the Spartans string together 10 straight points to take momentum back.
The two teams will meet again Saturday at 7 p.m. CT in a match that can be streamed on canadawest.tv.
