No. 2 Dinos efficient in three-set win over Wesmen

The Winnipeg Wesmen got a close-up look at the most efficient hitting team in the country Friday night.

The No. 2-ranked Calgary Dinos hit .413 for the night and had just eight errors in recording a 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-12) Canada West women's volleyball victory in Calgary.

Kalena Schulz had her most efficient night of the season for the Wesmen. The fourth-year left side knocked down 10 kills on 20 swings with zero errors while also adding five digs.

Outside hitter Hannah Tanasichuk had 10 kills on 14 swings to hit .571 for the night and lead Calgary, which improved to 13-2 on the season. Calgary is hitting .265 for the season and has three players among the top 11 attackers by percentage in the conference.

Kate Pexman added seven kills on 14 swings with no errors for the Dinos.

Freshman Mikaela Cameron made her first career start for the Wesmen and had 17 assists and five digs.

Winnipeg hit .035 for the night.
